Mom's Block Puzzle
This special set of blocks, designed as a puzzle, was hand-crafted as a retirement gift from a daughter to her mother. Each side of the six blocks uniquely represent her mom: her grandchildren, Baton Rouge, the motto and mascot of the school of which she was the Principal, a representation of her rosary and a personalized recipe written by her family.
The display tray keeps the blocks neatly organized and looks great on the Principal’s desk when the kids are done playing with them!

“I have known Gina for almost 15 years and have witnessed firsthand her passion for finding beauty in ordinary objects and creating one of a kind pieces of art. When she decided to do commissioned work, I jumped on the opportunity to have her design a retirement gift for my Mom. I wanted to capture her life in something she could proudly display on her desk. She worked at a school so I wanted it to be something kids could pick up. Gina had the brilliant idea to do puzzle blocks with a unique design or story on each side to represent different aspects of my Mom’s life and career. Gina took my notes, created several mock-ups for me to review and created something that far exceeded my expectations. All the elements were beautiful and every detail was perfection. I can never decide which of the nine sides is my favorite. I know it’s a treasure my Mom will always cherish.”
